Due mainly to the new cast of Christian Bale as Batman and of course Michael Caine as Alfred. Making these movies Dark and Serious was a great move. Chrisopher Nolan did a wonderful job in changing the way we saw the Dark knight turning it from quirky comedy into drama, thriller and reality like action.
